RED LIGHTS FOR RED NOSE DAY AT CENTRE POINT | 27/02/09
Red Nose Day for 2009 (Friday 13 March 2009) is billed as a day like no other and this year the lights on the top of Centre Point will be blazing out red to celebrate. The national fundraising day involving schools, offices and homes across the land is being supported by Targetfollow.
The leading commercial property, investment, management and development company is the owner of Centre Point and will be arranging the special red crown lighting of one of London's most iconic building in the heart of the West End.
This is the first time that Centre Point has been used to support Red Nose Day and with the 35 storey building being 117m (385ft) high, the lights will be hard to miss. It is hoped that it will help encourage donations to the charitable causes which make a difference to the lives of thousands of people.
The lights will shine out from Centre Point at the start of the red nose celebrations to mark the Pre-Red Nose Day Party on the 26 February which will be held at The Paramount Club on the top floors of the building and then again to mark the culmination of the celebrations with the television extravaganza on the Friday 13th of March. This year's celebrations will also feature singles from Gavin and Stacey stars, Uncle Bryn and Nessa (featuring Tom Jones!) as well as "Comic Relief Does The Apprentice" and a new Saturday night show "Let's Dance for Comic Relief." Targetfollow will be hoping to raise money in many of its 63 buildings across the country in support.
Comic Relief aims to change someone's life for good from helping a child growing up with domestic violence, a parent living with mental health problems or a lonely older person with dementia living down the road in the UK, to supporting orphans and desperately poor communities in Africa. All the money raised will help to transform lives and support long-term projects which help people to help themselves across the UK and Africa. More Details from RedNoseDay.com
